This cable is working great for me. The plug doesn’t plug in as smoothly as a factory i-pod plug does and is more bulky, but it’s not a problem. I get good sound quality and automatic charging of my ipod. This is a great option for someone who has aux inputs on their head unit but doesn’t want to deal with fm transmitters.

I have 3 of these – one for my bedroom and two others for my cars. I have no issues with them at all and couldn’t be happier. I don’t have a case for my iPod so I didn’t have any issues with size as did the other reviewer. This cable charges the iPod while in use and works exactly as described. Excellent interface and no issues with sound quality. Great product!

this was exactly what i was looking for. i needed a cable that would wharge my ipod without pluging into the lighter socket, and i needed it to have audio output. this was perfect. the only complaint i have is that the dock plug is kind of large, a litle bigger then the standard apple usb cable dock plug, so it doesnt fit well with my case on, but i never have issues with the usb cable, so if it was a little slimmer, it would be perfect.

Research this product if you have a newer iPod. Amazon’s product description is lacking; the sticker on the packaging reads, “Will not charge iPhone 3G, Nano 4th Gen, iPod Classic 120GB, and iPod Touch 2nd Gen.” It also does not charge Nano 5th Gen as I found out.
